Last week we reported on rumors that Shake Shack had made a deal to set up its first Brooklyn shop, to be located on the Fulton Mall.
Refusals of Shake Shack representatives to confirm the deal, as well as a long history of rumors regarding a Shack opening in Brooklyn, was more than enough to elicit some “I’ll believe it when I see it” comments from readers.
And rightfully so of course.
As of Nov 5th it seems the rumors are more than rumors, however, as NY Eater reports confirmation from the broker of the deal: the owners of Shake Shack had indeed signed a “long term lease at 409-415 Fulton Street,” the space which is currently occupied by Tony’s Famous pizza.
So it would appear it is a done deal, but when will the Shack actually open?
Sometime next spring.
