Every Halloween I find myself on the computer trying to find a recipe for how to prepare pumpkin seeds. There are many different varieties from sweet to spicy but my favorite is just the original salty oven roasted pumpkin seeds. Nothing fancy here, my kid is super picky anyway and I can’t see him wanting spicy seeds so the traditional recipe is the way I am going to go again this Halloween. Salty Roasted Pumpkin Seed Recipe
Ingredients you need for this pumpkin seed recipe include:
2 cups pumpkin seeds
8 cups water
4 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions for this pumpkin seed recipe:
Add the pumpkin seeds, water, and salt to a pot. Bring the water to a boil and let simmer for 10 minutes. drain the pumpkin seeds. Spread the olive oil in the bottom of a roasting pan. Roast in a 400 degree oven for 10-20 minutes until browned. Keep an eye on them so that they don’t burn. You can move them around with a spoon every now and then if you feel like it.
