Tutorials, word checkers, word finders, dictionaries and word lists provide players game rules and ways to check words from the tiles being played. The websites provide a search box to place letters held to create words or to check a word to see if it is in the dictionary.
High Score Hints and Tricks
Attaining high counting words in Scrabble involves making words with a combination of high count letters. The ‘Q’ and ‘Z’ tiles are each worth ten points. Try and create words with as many high scoring tiles in one word as possible. Add-on to words that have high scoring tiles. On-line Scrabble provides a listing of high count words.
A good word choice for these two tiles is ‘quizzes’ which uses all seven tiles and gives a straight score of 34. Put this on a double or tripple word square and score as much as 102 points. The highest scoring word is ‘quizzicality’ with a single word score of 44. It is a word that uses twelve tiles and either needs an add-on or two turns create because of the limited number of tiles in each hand.References:
