One of the things you will want to do when setting up your SiteFrame site is set up your comments. You can change the comment settings to what you want. You can allow comments, disable comments, and more. In this guide, I will show you how to set up your comment settings in SiteFrame. You will need to login as the admin to do this. Only admins can change these settings for comments.
Opening Your Comment Settings in SiteFrame
You will need to make your way to the settings page of SiteFrame to make these changes. Start by going to your control panel. You can open the control panel by clicking the Control Panel link in the left menu.
On the control panel page, you will need to locate the Extended Properties link and click it. Once you are on the Extended Properties page, you will need to scroll the page down until you see the Comments section. This is where you will make your changes.
Setting Up Your Comments in SiteFrame
You are now ready to make changes to your comment settings in SiteFrame. Below, I will list your options found in the comment section and give you a brief explanation of each option.
Allow Comments – If you are planning to allow members to comment on your site, you will need to check this box. If there are certain documents that you do not want to allow comments on, you can override this option when you create the document. When you create the document, you can select the option of not letting them comment.
Anonymous Comments – If you want to allow anonymous users to post comments on your site, check this box. If you do not allow this option, you will reduce spam on your site.
Comment Email – If you want the comments to be emailed to you, enter your email address in this field.
Comment Inline – This is asking if you want the comments section to be available on the page or if you want it to pop up in a new window. If you want it to pop up in a new window, leave the box unchecked.
Comment Subjects – If you want members to post a subject when commenting on stuff, check this box.
When you are finished, you will need to scroll to the very bottom of this page and click the Submit button to save your new settings.
