The 2010 San Francisco Giants playoff schedule continues with Game 6 of the 2010 NLCS in Philadelphia on Saturday night. The Giants had a chance to close out the 2010 NLCS on Thursday night, but came up just short against the Philadelphia Phillies, falling 4-2. Now the Giants head to Philadelphia for Game 6, and if they can pull out a win, they won’t have to worry about a Game 7. Over in the American League, the Texas Rangers have already won the ALCS, and are waiting for their destination to be announced for the 2010 World Series.
According to the MLB playoff schedule, the San Francisco vs. Philadelphia game on Saturday is set to have the first pitch at 4:30 p.m. PT (7:30 p.m. ET). The live broadcast will be on Fox, and allow fans from both cities to possibly see another great game in the series. If the Phillies win Game 6 on Saturday night, that will force a Game 7 of the NLCS on Sunday night at the same time.
The pitchers for Saturday night will be Johnathan Sanchez for the Giants, and Roy Oswalt for the Phillies. It the series makes it to Game 7, it will be Matt Cain for the Giants and Cole Hamels taking the mound for the Phillies. All of those pitchers are great, and it could lead to some very exciting baseball over the next couple of days. Is this the year for the San Francisco Giants to claim their first World Series title on the West Coast? Or is Philadelphia about to make it three straight years in the Fall Classic?
