As we all know to well Downtown Brooklyn (Fulton Mall in particular) is the middle of major change, renovation and reconstruction. One of the new establishments which several residents and visitors are extremely excited to see arrive will be the Shake Shack. Shake Shack is a restaurant chain that offers hamburgers, hot dogs, milk shakes (of course) and a variety of other fast foods. The first location opened in Madison Square Park in 2004 and since then they have added four additional locations in NYC and one in Miami, Florida.
They have been awarded the best burger award by New York Magazine and I for one totally agree they are delicious and it is hard to find a better tasting burger in the city.
The Shake Shack in the Fulton Mall will be located on the corner of Fulton and Adams street where Tony’s Famous Pizza has resided for well over a decade. Tony’s will be relocating to make room for the Shake Shack and I don’t think anyone who shops, works, lives in or visits the neighborhood has any problem with that. This is just another of the many new changes that will continue to take place in the Fulton Mall over the next year or two. Stay tuned for more information about Shake Shack and any other establishment that will be coming Downtown Brooklyn.
