The zoom is a 12X and also is stabilized making it easy to take good pictures. The size is of the camera is smaller then the DMC-FZ35 and is what you would expect from a point and shoot. The price on thecamera is a little high too at around $260.

The Pannasonic Lumix DMC-FH20 is the best of the DMC series.The camera offers a full 41.1MP. The zoom is only 8x but stabilized. The display is 2.7 inches and while it may not be large it is slim and a nice design that fits in a purse or pocket and can be take anywhere and easily carried. While this camera has some disadvantages its extra Mega pixels and lower price at around $200 retail and even lower makes it a better all around camera choice

The Canon is the top company for cameras and the Powershot is the top of the line for Canon. The S90 does has some drawbacks such as a high price of around $300, low resolution of only 10MP, and a flash that comes out of the camera instead of being built in the camera which makes it more complex mechanically and therefore more likely to break. What this camera offers is some features not found on most point and shoot cameras such as a wide angle lens and a large 3 inch screen.
