Well, Sister Wives is a show that portrays one man with four wives in the state of Utah and how they get along and how they live. In that sate, and in others, that is illegal. You don’t see the sisters having four husbands in their home.
The show is getting lots of attention, both good and bad, so watch at your own risk. That means that you will hear all about how they raise their children in a communal atmosphere and parent as a whole. Everyone’s things are everyone else’s things and there is virtually no privacy.
The wives share the husband and on different nights he visits each of them, trying to cement a relationship, but inevitably creates more children. Whether they are handled properly or not, that is unbearably beyond what most people consider normal or legal. In all decency, this show goes beyond what is allowed to be properly shown on the air. Polygamy is illegal and should be prosecuted as any other crime would be, without the fanfare that it is receiving.
Whether you are fickle or not, this show will make you wonder how in the world is this allowed to happen. There is no excuse for a television station that is trying to make you watch something that is illegal in the first place.
This show will leave you wishing you never watched it. You might wish to turn the channel, tune it out and come back for something better or then again it may want you to see how four women share one husband and have a whole houseful of children together.
The children are happy as it seems on this show. They seem to be handling everything as it comes, but when they get older one can only speculate how they will take relationships and life’s issues into their own hands.
This show takes it over the edge and probably won’t be around for very long. The law is there for a reason and is not allowed to be broken, so with that said, Sister Wives is not something that is allowed in the state of Utah.
Polygamy is not the legal venue of partners, therefore, a show that partakes in its form is not relevant. You would have to question the validity of it at all.
Whatever you decide to partake in, you should make sure that you follow the laws. Even on a reality show, you will be held liable and the laws do come into effect.
For all those that tune in, get ready for something that you never saw before. It might not be something that you want to ever hear about again or will you. That is up to you, but the law is the law and you might not see the show ever again.
