It’s a pain in the you-know-what: You head down to Dolores Park to run your dog, sunbathe, and read or hang out with friends and hear live music, support a protest or enjoy a festival and you have to go to the bathroom. Your choices are one of the two park bathrooms that rarely have toilet paper and are always disgusting or a long line at one of the local restaurants that demand that you buy something before they’ll allow you the privilege to wait for the sought-after bathroom key.
Well, worry no more. As of Oct. 6, the city of San Francisco has graciously installed six portable toilets as promised back in May and opened them for business. Unlocked between the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., the hope is that the new bathroom options will limit the amount of human excrement on the sidewalks and in between parked cars.
The porta-potties are coming!
