Although only 6% of the trails available are geared toward beginners, with 4000 ski able acres, this is hardly a limited area. Located in Little Cottonwood Canyon, Alta is a ski resort for those who really want to spend their time on the slopes. This is a ski-only resort. No snowboards are allowed. Lodges are ski-in/ski-out.
