It seems like the more insecure I feel about some things, the more I also feel God pushing me to do it. And the more I read about insecurity, the more I notice these pushes…I think they’re getting closer together. Could this mean that I was meant to read this book…that I’m meant to be secure in the end? As Beth says, “Thank God we don’t have to wait until we feel more secure to start acting more secure.”
Security in God is ours to keep and no one can take that away from us.
Now you can download the So Long Insecurities simulcast! Visit www.lproof.org the cost total is $10, $5 for each half.
Back to the book! Read chapters 12-18 and do the “Homework.” Then meet up with your girlfriends to talk about what you’ve read and share what you’ve learned!
1. List a couple of ways pertinent to your sphere of life and influence that you could look out for your own gender in our battle with insecurities. In other words, how can you (not others but you in particular) start becoming part of the solution in your female relationships rather than default into part of the problem.
2. What is something outside of yourself that you feel passionate about?
3. Based on Chapter 17, on a scale of 1 to 10, how big a part has fear (of some kind) played in your life?
4. Reflect over the journey as a whole. What (again, if anything) lasting and of God will you take away from it?
