Facing difficult circumstances is not something any of us would volunteer to do. Troubling situations are confusing and hard to understand. We all want to know why they are happening. We question the presence of trouble. Why Me? It is not that we wish the trouble on some other individual; we just don’t understand why it had to be us. Because of the trouble we think sometimes that God does not love us. It is hard to see trouble from God’s perspective. We venture to say it is almost impossible, unless we pursue God. In the book of Job, we find that Job pursued God for an answer.
It is impossible to know the truth about your circumstances until you have inquired of God. God always has a purpose, a plan of action and an answer to our situations. If we don’t allow circumstances to make us bitter; it will make us better. Recall how God informed Moses about the Pharaoh before He delivered the Israelites from bondage in Egypt; he kept hardening the pharaoh’s heart after each plague. In the book of Exodus, chapters five and six you discover why Moses did not abandon the course laid out by God concerning the Pharaoh. We must have patience and faith in God. Focus upon his position in our life as we consider our circumstances and our trouble. Know that God is the director and the initiator of our life.
Confusing circumstances call for radical faith because we have to follow “hard” after God. Following “hard” after God means you have reached a stage in your circumstances where if God does not intervene on our behalf we will not survive the trouble. Remember the book of Esther.
Esther said before she went to see the King, “If I perish, I perish, I am going to see the King.”
Remedy is not in our hands. The supernatural power of God must come into play if we are to overcome our problems. God knows the end from the beginning and there are no surprise endings with Him. Have you ever been there? We have. Well, our heart, our will, our mind, our prayers-our everything must be centered upon God.
The Holy Spirit, the third part of the Godhead, will speak with us and give us blessed assurance. The Holy Spirit will reveal truth to us. We cannot know the truth of our circumstances until we have heard from Truth (God). Truth resides in God, The Father, Jesus Christ, His Son and The Holy Spirit. This is all the fullness of the Godhead.
We must face all of our difficult circumstances of life with Faith, knowing that faith your faith in not in a concept but in the person of our Father, God. What we believe about God will determine our action. People who have survived circumstances that only God could deliver them from have powerful testimonies. They experience a deeper faith walk and they have power when they tell us. God can do anything but fail!
He has delivered me from near death circumstances twice. He has healed my husband as well. Trusting Truth is the best refuge anyone can find when facing difficult circumstances.
