The St Louis Rams and Sam Bradford travel to play the Denver Broncos November 28th. Sam Bradford has made tremendous strides in his first season but he has yet to get his team on the winning track on the road. Bradford has made it a focus of his young team to win road games and this game could be their best chance to take home a win.
The Denver Broncos are coming off an ego crippling loss to their AFC West foes the San Diego Chargers and in the light of the game they are going to be looking to answer back. the only problem with the Denver Broncos is that they just don’t have the talent they once had. Most of their talent is flourishing on other teams and the Denver Broncos are a gutted shell of what they once were.

The St Louis Rams offense has progressed well under first year quarterback Sam Bradford. They are a well balanced offense that can move the ball against some of the better defenses in the NFL. The running game featuring Steven Jackson has yet to explode, the Rams are averaging only 105 yards per game. The leadership that Jackson brings to the huddle is invaluable on this team and when he is off the field it shows.
The Denver Broncos defense is best on the edges with Champ Bailey one of the better shut down corners in the NFL. Where Denver can be beat is on the ground. The Denver Broncos are giving up over 143 yards per game to NFL rushers which is one of the worst numbers in the NFL. The pass rush is also sub par for the Denver Broncos and can be traced back to the loss of Elvis Dumervil. The St Louis Rams offense will have the edge over the Denver Broncos defense.
Denver Broncos Offense vs St Louis Rams Defense
The numbers for the Denver Broncos offense can be deceiving when putting together a game plan. Kyle Orton ranks second among passing leaders but most of his numbers have been skewed. The passing attack for the Denver Broncos averages almost 300 yards per game but most of these yards accumulate when they are coming from behind and the opposing team is shuttling in second string defenders.
The running game for the Denver Broncos has been absent most of the season but Knowshon Moreno is back and healthy. The Broncos are currently averaging just under 80 yards per game but with Moreno back in the rotation he should be able to ring up some big games on the ground.
The St Louis Rams defense is average but they do have some of the better young talent in the NFL on the defensive side of the ball. They are stifling the opponents running game and are not giving up more then 100 yards per game and are also keeping the oppositions passing attack under 230 yards per game.
Over the middle the St Louis Rams are clogging the passing lanes and over the top their corners can run with the best route runners in the NFL. The best player on defense is definitely James Laurinaitis but they are developing talent in all aspects of their defense. Soon the St Louis Rams will be the leader of this week NFC West division and that could be as soon as this year. The St Louis Rams defense has the edge over this Denver Broncos offense.
