For years, the Mars Corporation has tried to team up with major movie companies to create M&Ms to coincide with upcoming movies. This time, it is Strawberried Peanut Butter M&Ms for the Transformers II: Revenge of the Fallen. These little bite sized candies come in groups of colors that M&M is calling Chocl-o-bots and Delect-o-cons, after the autobots and deceptocons of the movie. Their colors are coordinated by their group. The Chocol-o-bots come in red, yellow, and white, while the Delect-o-cons come in brown, blue and orange. These bite sized candies come in two sizes of packages, individual for $0.79 or medium bags for $3.89. At they are limited edition, get yours while you can. M&Ms are not going to make them for long.
These candies are delicious with their peanut butter center and their strawberry flavored chocolate. The candy coated shell has freckles of color to distinguish them from other peanut butter M&Ms. Because of the anticipated success of the upcoming movie, Mars Corporation has created seven different packages for their limited edition flavor. There is nothing spectacular about the printing of the trademark M on each candy, just the packages themselves. Collect all seven packages if you can.
At first I was skeptical of trying these candies, although M&Ms are among my favorite. When I did gather the courage to try them, they were yummy! It was like a miniature peanut butter and jelly sandwich without the bread. The strawberry flavored chocolate on the inside is subtle and not some jelly filling that will squirt out. These are limited time candies and although the movie has long been on the market, you can still find them in some stores. I have had the best luck finding them at Wal-Mart, and some convenience stores as well. I recommend these candies to anyone that is a fan of the popular lunchtime sandwich.
