The show “Supernatural” airs on The CW Fridays at 8 pm CST. The creator of this amazing series, Eric Kripke, was originally told that the show was only going to be picked up for three seasons. He was soon after told that he would be getting a five season run. He had no reason at the start to realize what a big hit this show would be and how much the fans would want it to continue. He set up a five year plan for the show with it all ending with Sam being Satan’s vessel and going to hell at the end of the Apocalypse.
Once the show was renewed for season six, he had to change his plans. Season five felt like the ending of the show and a series finale. Kripke stepped down as the main writer of the show but is still involved in the process. We are now into season six and things are going strong as we have gone back to the original way of the show with a monster of the week.
This season is focusing on the relationship between Sam and Dean Winchester. Things have changed in the last five years. Dean is now attempting to be a family man while he is out fighting demons at the same time. Sam has turned into something different, but we aren’t really sure what is going on with him. They are suggesting that he is now without a soul since he is back from hell.
So the question is our fans satisfied that “Supernatural” is back for a sixth season? Do they want to see more of Sam and Dean? It seems that yes without a doubt they wanted the show back on the air. The thing is many fans fear that the show is going to lose its appeal with the changes. Sam is now the evil brother where Dean is the more laid back family guy. This is not the Sam and Dean Winchester that we all fell in love with during the start of this show.
As a fan of this show, I am just happy to get more of it. I love that we are back to watching them fight the monster of week. It is always interesting to see where they go with this side of the story. The writers have an amazing imagination and I am looking forward to more seasons of this show.
