This episode had annoying personalities, a blindfolded challenge and another clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol. Let’s get to it.
Over at Espada a storm has touched down. It’s rainy and cold and the tribe is miserable. They’re thinking about their recent tribal council where they voted off Jimmy Johnson. Jimmy T is happy though and he’s singing and hugging everyone much to their annoyance. When they wake up in the morning their beach has been washed away by the storm. They don’t have any means of fishing and only have a few cups of rice for rations. Jimmy T watches a pelican fishing successfully and tries to imitate its style by throwing out a fishing net but to no success. Marty is getting annoyed by Jimmy T. When Marty suggests having a new leader and one voice at the next challenge he suggests Tyrone. Jimmy T voices his opinion that since he was a leader back home he’d like to be seen as one here. Jimmy T says in an interview that Marty is a “preppy little bitch” who wouldn’t last a minute in his world. The tribe opens a tree mail that has blindfolds for the next challenge. So the tribe decides to practice with Tyrone giving the other teammates direction. But Jimmy T stands next to him and starts telling him what to do.
Over at La Flor Brenda figures out the Hidden Immunity Idol clue to mean it’s near tree mail. So she goes to NaOnka for some reason and tells her. They dig next to tree mail and NaOnka finds the HII and hides it in her shoe. They high-five each other but later in an interview Na says she has the idol and it’s hers alone. Kelly B and Alina talk about how mean NaOnka is and their best defense is to find the idol. Alina says she saw Na and Brenda walk away from the tree mail direction so they go over there to dig around. Na sees this and confronts the two. Na then goes off on Kelly B again and says she doesn’t like her and never has. Kelly B says Na is a bully who wants a reaction that she won’t give her even though she wants to. Alina can’t stand how Na treats Kelly B.
At the reward/immunity challenge tribes must be blindfolded and paired together. Three pairs of tribemates must be guided by a caller to lead them to ten items from Sears that they have to return to their mat. Then they have to get a set of keys to unlock a chest and bring the chest back to the mat. The first team to do this wins immunity and three items from Sears. La Flor opts this time to use the Medallion of Power to have two items already on their mat. La Flor probably could have won the challenge without using it since they quickly get all their items on their mat and win. They chose the fishing gear, tarp and cookware.
Back at La Flor the tribe is happy again for their win and looking over their reward items. Chase sees a clue for the HII in the fishing gear box and quickly hides it. Later on he shows it to Brenda. She reluctantly tells him that NaOnka already has the idol but begs him not to confront her about it because she doesn’t want Na to think Brenda betrayed her trust.
Back at Espada everyone is despondent about the loss. Jimmy T is annoying Tyrone by saying he should be leader. The tribe gathers up sea urchins except Marty who is just sitting and eating the urchins. Jimmy T tells Marty that he’s not being a team player. Marty gets mad and claims that by his telling him that basically Jimmy T is shooting himself in the head. Jane and Holly want to vote out Dan, but Marty and Jill want to keep him around because he’s part of their plan.
At tribal council it’s the Jimmy T show. Tyrone and Marty tell him he needs to step down from “delusions of grandeur” and just be a team player. Jimmy T says he’ll do that and be a “worker bee.” But this doesn’t save him because he gets voted out.
