Survivor kicks off its 21st season setting up camp in the jungles of Nicaragua with teams divided by age. The CBS hit show now in its 10th year will be premiering Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 8:00 pm EST. This may be the best season yet. The theme of Survivor Nicaragua Young versus Old is an ancient challenge. This challenge as any parent knows goes back for thousands of years. Younger people have more energy where older people have more knowledge and wisdom traditionally.
Survivor Nicaragua tribes will be separated into the Espada tribe the over forty crowd and the La flor tribe the under thirty crowd. This may not be fair if the challenges are all extremely physical at least to the Espada tribe. If the challenges are games of wisdom and wit the La Flor tribe will have problems. The challenges hopefully will reflect these two elements and be fair.
The members of the Espada tribe are: Jill Behm, Jane Bright, Tyrone Davis, Wendy de Smidt Kolhoff, Holly Hoffman, Jimmy Johnson, Dan Limbo, Marty Piombo, Yve Rojas and James “Jimmy T.” Tarantino.
The Members of the La Flor Tribe are: Jud Birza, Kelly Bruno, Shannon Elkins, Ben “Barry” Henry, Matthew “Sash” Lenahan, Brenda Lowe, Naonka MIxon, Chase Rice, Alina Wilson and Kelly shinn.
Survivor Nicaragua’s celebrity contestant Jimmy Johnson, former coach of the Dallas Cowboys, will most likely end up “coaching “the Espada tribe. Will Johnson take his team all the way? This should be fun to watch. Hopefully this season will reflect the true meaning of the game and will return to some of the basics that made survivor a great show.
