For those of you looking for good mexican food in Okaloosa County, Florida, have I got a find for you. Taco Town offers great tacos, burritos, enchiladas and taco salads for incredible prices. They have a location in Niceville near the high school, in Fort Walton Beach, on Racetrack, in Crestview on Main Street, and one out near Navarre on Highway 98. If you try them out, I can promise you’ll have a new favorite place to get tacos.
The major characteristic about taco town that everyone that’s been there loves is price. I know that you can get enough food to feed a family of four with $10. This is especially true on Mondays, when tacos are only 50 cents. On a regular day, the tacos cost a whopping 69 cents. It usually costs me about four dollars to get full on their food. But that’s not all that’s great about Taco Town.
Their tacos are without a doubt the best I’ve had in the area. The quality of ingredients here is much higher than that of other more noticible taco brands. Not only are the ingredients higher in quality, they taste pretty darn good too… But if tacos aren’t your thing, they do have some other great foods there.
As far as their other great selections, the only one I can really comment on is their burrito line. From the bean burrito all the way up to their maxi burrito or whatever one is the big one, they’re all amazing. My personal favorite is the bean burrito, but I’ll certainly not balk at eating the others. In addition to the burritos, they have salads, enchiladas and a couple of other items I haven’t personally tried, and can’t attest to (the tacos are so good). I will recommend that if you like spicy stuff, get the hot sauce! Their hot sauce is waaay better than any of the other mexican style hot sauces I’ve tried, and is one of the main reasons I go there as often as I do.
When you go to taco town, make sure you bring cash. This is important, because they don’t take cards. You could also pay with checks, but it’s just much easier to carry a ten dollar bill (how many 50 cent tacos do you really need?) than to write out a check for 4.53 or some ridiculously low price. Now get out there and get some tacos!
