Ferndale Police Lt. William Wilson says that clear thinking on the part of school officials at Taft Educational Center is likely the reason police were able to apprehend several Taft students suspected of burglary in a local Ferndale neighborhood. School officials noticed some odd behavior from several of its students Tuesday at 2:45 p.m. Two students were seen entering a home on Farmdale near the Taft Educational Center at 427 Allen St. and exiting with two large screen televisons. School officials did not intercept the suspected burglary but called the Ferndale police to investigate. Police arrested three Taft students, but released one pending further investigation. Another suspect elluded the police. Students are 18 and 19 years old. The two students arrested await arraignment on Thursday, October 7, 2010.
