It shows like the most important parts, to keep the viewer wondering, and that’s why I think it works so well. The images are well like I said intense that it’s amazing, like the part where Bowie just gets his ass kicked, by those soldiers. Just sticks with you.
On my list because: Well I’m a major David Bowie fan, and found this gem, it’s a very intense film. The trailer shows that, and doesn’t give too much away either.
3. Title:Sin City
Synopsis: A world where crime roams the streets and everyone has their own brand of justice.
Cast: Mickey Rourke, Clive Owen, Rosario Dawson, Jessica Alba, and Bruce Willis.
Why it’s the best movie trailer: Mainly because when you first see it, your like is this a 1940s Noir film, and a newer film in black and white is genius but still you see color, very interesting cinematography. It’s an adrenaline rush in 2:00 mins. Also I love how it has that comic book fell too since it was based on several Frank Miller graphic novels.
On my list because: Well this movie is wickedly good, and I just love the feel of it. I do still think its very Noir that goes too far but you can’t help but watch. So it gets to be on here because of the black and white Noir feel to it.

5. Title:The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.
Synopsis: Each man is looking for gold and at the end it’s a final showdown between Cleef, Eastwood, and Wallach.
Cast: Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, and Eli Wallach.
Why it’s the best movie trailer: Like The Third Man, I have to say it’s the music for this one too. Also when their showing each actor, the words come up, like Clint Eastwood, it’s the Good. You get to hear gunshots too, just has spaghetti western written all over it.

Why it’s the best movie trailer: Well here’s a story, one day I was working on the computer, and turned around and I saw this trailer. The colors hit me first, these golds, whites, and reds, then I saw these masked people, and it was so weird. Such an underrated film, the trailer speaks to itself for sure. I actually saw the trailer and the next day rented the film. It’s a fun film and the trailer is fun too, so please watch the trailer and rent the film or buy it.
On my list because: One of the first trailers to really hit me and rent a film.
7. Title:Band of Outsiders
Synopsis: Two crooks with a fondness for B-movies get a girl to help them commit a robbery, in her own home.
Cast: Anna Karina, Sami Frey, Daniele Girard, and Chantal Darget.
Why it’s the best movie trailer: It’s has that childish feel to it and you really don’t know what this movie is suppose to be about, because it’s just a montage of scenes. The score in this film is by Michel Legrand. I get that feeling of French New Wave, whenever I watch the trailer, which I should because this is a French New Wave film.
On my list because: Being a Godard Fan, I scoped out his film trailers and I find A Band of Outsiders, is the most comical even though the film itself gets darker.
8. Title: Metropolis
Synopsis: An Industrialist in the 21st Century takes over. The the rich live above and the workers live below. The son of the industrialist falls in love with a woman who live below, she has vision of a savior. A Fritz Lang classic indeed.

Why it’s the best movie trailer: This trailer gives me goose bumps, there have been many futuristic films but this one is the best. Here is this trailer you get a glimpse of what life could be. A silent film with a very creative trailer, it shows this “Other world” with the best scenery. Very haunting.

9. Title: Dead Ringers
Synopsis: Jeremy Irons, Stephen Lack, Genevieve Bujold, and Barbara Gordon.
Cast: Twin Gynecologist brothers find drugs and madness; it’s a modern horror that involves real life and a little fantasy. Jeremy Irons plays the twins; it’s a tour de force performance.
Why it’s the best movie trailer: Did you ever watch the film? Well watching the trailer gives you goose bumps just like the film. The red writing for the trailer actually it’s really nothing but I think personally is genius, just to show that the little things in a trailer can be remember, red is just that color that means evil. The ending the trailer when it stops at Jeremy Irons getting cut, is insane, it’s like it gives you that little taste of madness.
On my list because: Funny how David Cronenberg trailers can still make you feel freaked out, so I had to add him on my list.
10. Title:Last Year at Marienbad
Synopsis: A man tries to tell a woman, that they met before, but she can’t remember him, so he tries to get her to remember.
Cast: Delphine Seyrig, Giorgio Albertazzi, Sacha Piteoff, and Francoise Bertin.
Why it’s the best movie trailer: Amazing glimpses of Scenery, tells you a lot about the film but also doesn’t give away much. The trailer itself though does give its own story.
On my list because: A wonderful French film that has an intense plot to it. Luckily for the trailer it helps you sort of figure out what you coming into.
And that would be the best movie trailers of all time.
