The Tennessee Titans are fresh off their bye week with a new addition, Randy Moss as they take on the Miami Dolphins November 14th in Miami. The debut of Randy Moss and the Tennessee Titans possibly transformed passing game will come against a Miami Dolphins team that plays lights out on the road but has failed to win on their home field this season. With the Miami Dolphins falling to the Baltimore Ravens on the road it may set up for their first win at home against the new and improved Tennessee Titans.
Miami Dolphins Offense vs Tennessee Titans Defense
Chad Henne does not strike fear in defenses as the Miami Dolphins starting quarterback but he better than average compared to the middle of the pack NFL quarterbacks in the NFL. Henne needs to find his number one receiver Brandon Marshall to open up the running game.
Until he can get Marshall an average of 100 yards per game, the Miami Dolphins are not a legitimate NFL Playoff team. The wild cat offense of the Miami Dolphins has not been as effective this season for the offense but Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams have managed to stay healthy this season.
One of the most impressive defenses in the NFL has been the Tennessee Titans. The defensive front line of the Tennessee Titans has created chaos in the trenches all season long. Jason Babin is the driving force of the front line defense and in the secondary it is Courtland Finnegan. Finnegan is all over the place in secondary and can help shut down the best receivers in the NFL. The Tennessee Titans defense has the edge over the Miami Dolphins defense.
Tennessee Titans Offense vs Miami Dolphins Defense
The Tennessee Titans offense receives a boost with the addition of Randy Moss as their number wide out. Moss may be used as a decoy in this game and he could open up not only passing routes underneath but even more room from Chris Johnson in the running game. Chris Johnson could be running wild with the teams newest addition. Now the question will be if Randy Moss will sit tight as a decoy.
The Miami Dolphins defense is solid but must be considered average from a numbers stand point. They are giving up over 110 yards on the ground per game and 230 yards per game through the air. A decent pass rush by the Miami Dolphins and a solid secondary are a major reason for their success against the spread. The Tennessee Titans offense has the edge over the Miami Dolphins defense.
