The Tennessee Titans have a stacked schedule early in the NFL season and the New York Giants will be waiting for them September 26th. The Giants will bring a menacing pass rush and hard hitting linebackers. The tough defenses will play out in the first half and the score will be a 7-3 or 7-6 half time score. The second half of this game should loosen up a bit with one team reaching the 20 point mark in a close game.
Passing Attacks for Both New York Giants & Tennessee Titans Will Struggle Once Again
Eli Manning passed for only 161 yards and two touchdowns while getting thrashed by his brother, Peyton Manning’s Indianapolis Colts. The Colts ate the New York Giants line alive in the game sacking Eli four times and keeping the pressure on him all game. The Tennessee Titans will do much of the same to Manning in this game. Tennessee is 4-0 against the Giants since moving to Nashville.
Vince Young will still get the start for the Tennessee Titans in this game despite getting benched against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Young has always had the reputation of being inconsistent and this game did nothing to disprove his detractors. Young did not find the end zone last week, fumbled and was picked off twice. Young will also see an all out pass rush from a New York Giants defense that was embarrassed in their game against the Indianapolis Colts. Passing attack edge goes to the New York Giants over the Tennessee Titans but it is close.
Defense of Both Tennessee Titans & New York Giants Have Something to Prove
The Tennessee Titans defense did not play terribly in their loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers but their offense did not bail them out. Tennessee has served notice to the rest of the league that their defense is back with a strong pass rush and good solid linebacker play up the middle. The key to a good defense is good tackling and this team does not fail to wrap up ball carriers.
Jekyll and Hyde is the best way to describe this New York Giants defense. The Giants played an impressive game against the Carolina Panthers but were shredded by Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts. The New York Giants will have to get their pass rush with Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora to take pressure of their weak secondary. Defensive edge goes to the Tennessee Titans over the New York Giants but it is also close.
Tennessee Titans vs New York Giants -3: Pick Against the Spread & Final Word
The Las Vegas Hilton Superbook posted the New York Giants as a four point favorite and were bet down to a three point favorite over the Tennessee Titans by Monday afternoon. The New York Giants must establish the run in this game and they also must take the Tennessee Titans running back, Chris Johnson out of the game. The Pittsburgh Steelers did hold Johnson to 41 yards but an 89 yard touchdown by Johnson was called back. Take the New York York Giants over the Tennessee Titans by three points but tread lightly on this game.
