There is only one theory that I can come up with for the media’s constant bashing of Sarah Palin and her family, and that’s fear. The liberal media is afraid that she actually has a good chance of being elected in 2012, so they lash out at everything she says or does. And, at long last, I am tired of it. I am sick of watching the news, reading the articles and digesting the trash that the media has been throwing out about Sarah Palin, her daughter Bristol and every other member of their family. These are real people with real feelings. Knock it off!
I don’t care what anyone elses political beliefs are, when you start attacking everything that someone says or does outside of specific public appearances or interviews on position and policy, you are crossing the line. People are entitled to a private life and their own opinions. We have certainly heard plenty of liberal opinions over the last few years. Between California taking the happy out of the happy meal and the new movement to ban circumcision, they are doing everything they can to reduce people to never having to think for themselves.
Let’s talk about the recent bashing over Sarah Palin’s comments related to American Idol. Who hasn’t commented on American Idol contenstants, especially in the tryouts, to say they suck? Some people are just ridiculous and to ask if anyone has ever told them the truth about their talent is a very reasonable question. So why is Sarah Palin being bashed for it? It is what it is, and some of the contestants really do suck. Don’t punish her for stating the obvious.
As for Bristol and the votes she is getting for Dancing with the Stars, everyone who has ever been on that show has had the same exact opportunities to win with whatever votes the public produces. So why is the liberal media somehow trying to push the idea that she is being moved along by some elaborate scheme to trick the voting system? Jealousy and fear, that’s why! Any one of the contestants could have a fan base that could come up with a scheme to get them extra votes. And, you know what? WHO CARES? It is a television show, in which people dance for the public opinion. If the people who love to watch Bristol dance vote for her, good for them. That is what it’s about, and she is a beautiful young lady.
The rest of the family has also been attacked at one point or another. Kids for saying things that could be taken out of context, rumor and conjecture about the health of the relationship between Sarah and Todd Palin and much more too disgusting to even repeat. I am tired of it, and the public should be too. We spend so much time personally attacking political figures who have done nothing wrong. I refuse to let anyone bash Barack Obama for anything other than specific job performance. He is a man, a father and a human being who deserves respect for the achievements in his life. So true are the facts that Sarah Palin is a woman, a mother and a human being who deserves respect.
If you want to criticize Sarah Palin and her family, stick to the politics, policies and public appearances. Stay out of her business, her family relationships and her feelings about television shows. If you don’t want her to be president in four years, then don’t vote for her, but don’t make the decision based on her daughter’s dancing or her views on American Idol. The personal attacks in campaign ads and media reporting have reached an all time low, and have got to stop.
If you feel the same way, regardless of your political affiliation, please comment on this article and let the world know that you too, have had enough!
