Runescape’s Double XP Weekends are very rare and while I know that Random Events exist to stop bots and macros, certain Random Events should be banned from Double XP Weekends. Follow are the worst Random Events that ruined Runescape’s Double XP Weekend.
Maze is the absolutely worse Random Event that you’d have the misfortune of suffering through during Runescape’s Double XP Weekend and when I was doomed to my first Maze Random event – I say first because I’ve encountered a few of these – I almost soiled myself. The Maze Random Event is the worst Random Event for Double XP Weekend because it takes an extremely long time to crawl throw the gated maze Random Event and even worse; when you’re done with this Random Event, you won’t even be rewarded with a Magic Lamp for added XP.
In the Evil Twin Random Event, you must use some weird concoction to grapple Molly’s twin sister who’s accused Molly of a crime that she didn’t do and this Random Event will guarantee lots of wasted XP bonus time. The sucky part about this Random Event is that the evil twin will move around constantly – forcing you to keep navigating the grapple in order to catch the evil twin.
The Gravedigger Random Event requires that you dig out graves and match the internal contents of each grave to their respective tombstones. Sounds simple enough right? Wrong. There are five different graves in the Gravedigger Random Event and in order to complete this task, you’ll have to drop important Double XP items to make room in your backpack, search each grave, and make sure that each grave has the proper items in it before you can return to your Double XP weekend.
Prison Pete has been arrested and he needs your help; Double XP Weekend or not. Prison Pete will have you wasting XP bonus time as you run around some weird bubble animal prison trying to attack bubble animals that all look exactly the same in order to grab a key and escape prison.
Evil Bob’s Island
Evil Bob is a twisted and sick little devil of a cat that has human servants – and wants you as one of them. To get off of Evil Bob’s Island and back to your Double XP Weekend leveling, you’ll have to make room in your backpack, find the proper fishing spot, pick up a fishing net, catch a fish, and uncooked the somehow cooked fish before feeding it to Evil Bob and making your escape – take about a total waste of time.
