For most of us, we spend our whole lives fighting to fit in. Continually we put ourselves down because of low self esteem. We ask over and over, ” What’s wrong with me? Why don’t people like me?”. When really we should be asking ourselves, ” Why don’t I like myself?”
Thankfully, you do not have to answer that. The answer is, ” GODLESS LIVING”.
Addicts are sick. We are sick emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. The most damaging and destructive of the four being, spiritually sick. When we are sick spiritually we do not realize the dangers we are facing as Christians. We just see life and live it, without any thought of what God would have us to do in situations.
Whether we believe it or not. There is a Heaven, and there is a Hell. Just like there is a God, and there is a Devil. This devil, Satan, is the master of deceit and lies. And he is smart and patient. He has all the time in the world to devise his well thought plan for our lives. And he waits like a lion, ready to devour us.
The devil does not give us any type of warning either. He fights his battle in our minds. He develops all these negative thoughts in our minds. We become insane and out of control. Unable to stop even though our heart truly desires to break the cycle of addiction. These negative thoughts turn into bad habits. And these bad habits are known as ” strong-holds”. These are areas in our lives where we have completely blocked God from any and all access. Therefore allowing Satan in, to be our master. Using his strongholds, he chains us down into a hell on Earth. And trust me this was his plan from the beginning of time. He wants us bound to the things of this earthly world because when he has us bound we are unable to experience life the way God intended for us.
The life long torment of not fitting in…
The struggle to always have others’ approval of you…
Yes, these are two of Satan’s strong-holds. Do not be relaxed! Be ready, waiting, full of the abundant love God offers, if you are willing to receive it. That way, when Satan comes at you trying to develop a strong-hold in your life, you will be ready to fight the temptations thrown at you. While the battle has indeed already been fought, and God is victorious! We are still born sinners, and must learn how to listen for His instructions daily, constantly so that we won’t stray from His love and guidance.
