It’s the third episode of real people “hurt by the recession,” vying for a spot in the Trump empire. This time it was all about running a dog spa with a “value-added” incentive, because even though New Yorkers treat their dogs like children they still want a bargain.
Last week the task was to sell ice cream on the streets of Manhattan; which the men’s team lost, Alex was fired but now works at Rockport. Thanks Mr. Trump! Last week’s winning project manager Poppy got to meet with former GE head Jack Welch who gave her a two-year scholarship to the Jack Welch school of business.
This week at Team Octane James stepped up to the plate as the project manager. Over at the women’s Fortitude, Tyana was PM. The task? The teams had to set up a luxury dog spa. Whatever team did the best job won and Cesar “Dog Whisperer” Milan would guest judge.
This week both the team’s PMs put their people in the wrong positions and the usual hijinks ensued. At Octane Wade – who said he had a lot of experience with dogs – got assigned decorating duty. He did suggest web cams though. So web cams and the Princess Package would be their team’s added value. David and James kept up their fight from last week, so David interrupted him and turned binder clips into nails instead of installing web cams. Can you say super-annoying? Ivanka visited them and didn’t understand their concept because in her words she said James was “inarticulate.” At Fortitude the value-added incentive was goody-bags and doggie report cards; which Liza was assigned to do. Mahsa was assigned to the room full of dogs even though she had zero experience with them and was also terrified of them. Don Jr. visited and didn’t understand this either. Caesar Milan said the men’s team was full of alphas and over at the women’s Tyana seemed to be in charge of her flock.
At the boardroom Trump called out Tyana over putting Mahsa in the back with the dogs. Tyana said she had to keep Mahsa and her bad personality away from the customers – good answer. Turned out the women’s team won and Tyana would get a one-on-one with Russell Simmons. Octane we’ll see you back in the boardroom where one you will be fired. James since you were project manager who are the two team members that you’ll bring back with you? David and Wade. David: “you’re annoying and insubordinate but we like the tension and love-to-hate viewers so you’re safe.” Wade: “you had the most experience with dogs and we don’t know why you’re in the boardroom.” James: “you look better than you actually are so you’re fired.” But don’t feel too bad for him because he now works at the Attorney General’s office.
Wade stepped up and volunteered to be PM for the next task.
