The Double Windsor, a popular beer bar in Brooklyn with a first-class selection, is turning a year old and they are celebrating as only a bar can — with their own beer festival. Their birthday week will be dedicated to IPA beer and in honor of the event, pints will be $5 — a winning combination for local residents who can go, enjoy and then walk home. Though they have a wide selection of IPAs (India Pale Ales), one of their best is the Green Flash. For those who prefer less hop in their beer, there’s cider, sour ales, stouts and more on tap, as well.
Thursday, Sept. 16, is the pinnacle of the celebration. They’ll have music, food and special events to toast their success in sticking around through four entire seasons. Located right near Prospect Park, it is walking distance for residents in Kensington and is a fun way to support a local business.
