Ann glanced up at the wall clock a few yards away from the table. “I wonder what they’re doing right now.” The girl wondered, aloud.
Judy was busily reading a menu. “Huh? What do you want to eat?” The girl asked.
“I’m not really hungry.” Ann said, sighing deeply.
“Of course you are.” Judy said, glancing over the top of the menu she was reading. “Don’t lie Ann. Just order something already!” The girl said.
Ann sighed deeply and took up a menu and began reading it’s contents. “Let’s see…” She began, but her eyes wondered back to the clock.
“The clock isn’t going to go any faster just because you look at it.” Judy said, matter-of-factly. “I know you’re still feeling a little bit down, but everything will be ok.” The girl said, hoping to comfort the girl.
“I know.” Ann said, turning her attention back to the menu. “I guess I am hungry…”
“Good.” Judy said, happily. “You can order anything you want!”
