The year’s political shift was a long time coming, if you ask me. For once, it seems as if the right wing is on the rise. The crazed left wing of the Democrat Party has been running rampant on our liberties for the last several years. The mainstream is going insane over how the election turned out. Right wing alternative media has finally become a force to be reckoned with. So who are the voices that argue the best for conservative values in today’s world?
5 Rush Limbaugh
Rush has been the standard bearer of the right wing media for almost thirty years. During the “dark days” of the early Clinton presidency, Rush fought to get out the conservative idea when the rest of the press was fawning over the loon from Arkansas. He is still one of the largest names in talk radio and one of the most famous names in the media, but over the years has become less important, as more and more names have begun defending the right wing.
4 Sean Hannity
Sean is the other big name in conservative talk radio and also hosts one of the biggest conservative talk shows on Fox News. He used to be one half of “Hannity and Colmes,” and I may be one of the few people who miss Alan on the show. I didn’t really like him, but he added something. I preferred the show when it showcased both sides of the issues. And I feel Sean has gotten a little more egotistical now or he would be higher on the list, but he is still a major force in conservative media.
3 Mallard Fillmore
Although he isn’t quite as real as the rest of the names on the list, Mallard fights the good fight in the news industry every day. Mallard is a cartoon duck who shows us how little liberals have changed in the last five thousand years and that college professors really have no clue what they are talking about but don’t tell them that. If you don’t believe him, ask my wife. Her college career has been very interesting. Sadly, much like Juan Williams, Mallard just lost his job for being on the Bill O’Reilly show. I hope he is back at work driving the rest of his coworkers mad by the holidays. Otherwise, who will stand up to the crazy guy in the office who is selling his kid’s Christmas fundraiser stuff every year?
2 Ann Coulter
Ann is my favorite lady of political punditry. She is quick witted and smart. Her books are hilarious and I highly recommend each of them. I personally recommend stating with Guilty, but they are all well worth your time. There is not a single issue I can think of where I feel she is off base, and she is the only person I can say that for on this list. She writes blogs once a week, and pokes fun at just about everyone. Also, she is probably the only woman in America hated more than Sarah Palin. I honestly would vote for over any possible Republican candidate for president in 2012. I only put her second on the list because my wife doesn’t like her, but she loves the other guy on my list.
1 Glenn Beck
Glenn Beck is wonderful. Many think he is hopelessly insane but that’s the charm. He is funny and witty like Ann, but he is crazy like a fox. He wallows in his screw-ups in life and wears them like a badge of honor. But he has learned from them, and I respect that. So many famous people try to cover up their mistakes. He is almost always on the side of an issue I agree with and that’s difficult, because I am so right winged I feel I make Reagan look like Clinton. It’s always entertaining watching the left freak out over something he says or does on his show.
Fortunately, we live in an age where the liberals no longer control all of the media. Fox News and talk radio have become major forces in the communication world. Bloggers get their opinions out there all the time. Sites like jewishworldreview and realclearpolitics give you a chance to see a conservative view of the world. If you still are tied to the mainstream media, and feel there is no alternative, wake up to a fresh new world. You may have to look to find it, but it is refreshing to not want to throw things whenever the news comes on now.
