I am totally a tank top and flip flop kind of girl because I live in sunny Florida, but it’s not hot and sunny every day. We do get a few colds spells and anything below seventy five degrees is cold for me since I was born on a tropical island. However, my birthday is early in the year, which means I still get to wear the latest winter fashions (pertaining we still have cool air floating around), and dress the way I want to — the real me that has been dying to be revealed!
This season it’s all about the skinny jeans and pants. I lived in flare jeans for years because I liked the way they fit, plus my legs have always been super skinny all my life. But I’m on a new workout regime and have been gaining some muscle in my calves and thighs and a little on the derriere, so I have been buying more skinny jeans because a lot of them are stretchy and accentuate your body if you have great legs.
Skinny jeans often look good with high heel shoes, but I dare not wear them as I can be a major klutz and would be at high risk to break or twist my ankles — so the alternative? Boots! I love boots and wish I could have a whole closet full of them. This year I opted for some knee high fashionable combat boots that zip. I found them on Ebay brand new for $49.99 with shipping and they are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned.
Then I went shopping for sweaters, since mine were raggedy and outdated. I ended up at my favorite store, Kohl’s, who always have a good sale going and you can sign up for emails to get coupons and sale prices. The colors out right now are dark but rich. I picked up a teal Marilyn style ribbed sweater that was very trendy and a good price.
So to put my favorite fall birthday outfit together — some stretchy black skinny pants, my teal ribbed sweater and my black combat boots. Top it off with some black lipstick and shadowy eyes that boast a new teal sparkle eyeliner I found at the drugstore and the gothic me is complete!
