Apple recently revealed the new iPod Nano and the new look and features of the iPod Nano 6G makes it look like a totally new device. Following are the best new features that were added to the new and innovative 6th generation iPod Nano.
The added touchscreen, multitouch, and swipe functionality of the iPod Nano 6G is by far the greatest improvement made to the iPod Nano series – ever. The new touchscreen interface of the iPod Nano paved the way and made room for pretty much every other new feature of the new iPod Nano making the 6th generation iPod Nano smaller, lighter, and ultimately more portable while packing more features in its smaller frame.
The small size and “Shake” feature of the new iPod Nano are in a way making the iPod Shuffle obsolete. Instead of reaching in your pocket, searching for you iPod Nano, and shuffling through your playlist in order to switch to the next song in your playlist, the new Shake feature of the iPod Nano 6G allows you to simply grab and shake your iPod Nano in order to switch to the next song. The new Shake feature makes for a much more convenient and innovative way to switch through your music on the new 2010 version of the iPod Nano.
Apple wanted to make the iPod Nano more accessible than ever and added functions for the hearing impaired, seeing impaired, and even added a new feature called VoiceOver that’s an inbuilt touch-based screen reader that let’s iPod Nano users hear a description of whatever is being touched on the new iPod Nano’s multitouch screen.
Radio Nano w/ Live Pause
If you don’t have a large collection of music in your iTunes collection, you’ll still be able to rock on your new iPod Nano with its inbuilt FM radio tuner that now shows artist and song information, allows flicking from station to station, and with the new Live Pause function of the new iPod Nano 6G, you can now pause live radio stations and continue where you left off later on – on the fly.
