The Miami Children’s Museum is located at 980 Macarthur Causeway.
This is a non-profit center which strives to educate the youth and their families with fun and interactive exhibits.
A new facility opened in 2003 and has since added several classrooms. The over 56,000 square foot building includes an auditorium, several exhibits, and plenty of room for programs for school field trips and groups.
This museum has 2 floors that are dissected into various themed sections for your family’s enjoyment.
There are a lot of permanent exhibits and new ones visiting, so there are lots of things to do here any time of year.
Pretend you on at the beach as you visit and explore a gigantic sandcastle.
Learn about money and even create your own as you visit the bank.
Learn to be healthy and make good choices to help you grow big and strong while you take a visit in the “Health and Wellness Center”.
Be a vet at the clinic and “adopt” a pet to take care of while you are there.
Isn’t every boy’s dream to become a firefighter? Maybe your child is fascinated with other members of our community like policemen. There is a perfect spot here at the museum where you kids can dress up and act like these great role models. Learn about being safe and how these professions help their city.
Smaller kids will enjoy the “Sea and Me” exhibit while kids of every age will like going on board a luxury liner.
Pretend our vacationing on a cruise or maybe even be the captain as you explore this replica or a ship.
Make sure you stop by the art exhibit before you leave so you and your family can make their own artwork.
Music lovers will also love the studio exhibit where you can learn about the music from all cultures.

There is even an aquarium that holds 900 gallons of water!
The museum is conveniently open 7 days a week from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. The only days that the facility is closed are on major holidays like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year’s Day.
Admission prices are as follows: Residents of Florida are $12 and all other guests are $15. Infants 1 year and under are free.
If you like the facility, than you can always rent it out for special occasions and corporate events. There are many different areas that you can choose from and the auditorium can sit up to 200 people.
You can also have your child’s birthday party here. For around $400, you can have 20 guests or less and experience all the fun of the museum’s regular exhibit and even some added benefits.
For those of us just visiting the museum for an afternoon, remember to stop by to have a sandwich at Subway.
There is a dining area outside as well for extra room during busy hours. Also remember to stop by the gift shop to browse and buy a nice souvenir to remember your great day of family fun!
