Randy and Evi Quaid appeared on ABC News – Good Morning America, to tell the world their story. Recently the two were arrested in Canada with charges brought against them from a Santa Barbara case.
The Quaids claim they discovered they still owned a home they thought they had sold years before. Traveling to the property, they decided to stick around in a guest house on the land, to clean up the property from debris strewn about.
Santa Barbara police arrived, handcuffing the two. Randy and Evi claim they showed the police the deed to the property.
Going to Canada to pick up an award Randy had won the year prior, the couple state they decided to stick around to pursue work there. Evi is a Canadian, however Randy will have to get approved before settling down in Canada.
But the two failed to show in court for the charges against them, adding another charge to the list. They claim they had not known about the hearing until it was too late.
Claims have been made by the Quaids accusing the Santa Barbara police of being mob members, trying to make matters worse for themselves and other actors.
Randy tells ABC that he was making out a will, but everything he had in the document had been changed later. All corporations, property, etc., were left in the hands of these “others” instead of his daughter like he wished.
The two stand by their accusations that there are Hollywood star whackers that follow them around, making their life miserable. These star whackers apparently are responsible for the way Mel Gibson acted in recent charges of abuse and intoxication problems. The couple feels as though Gibson’s wife could have been sent in to destroy Gibson and his life. Evi was appalled to think Gibson could have been drunk and abusive.
David Carradine and Heath Ledger’s deaths were probably murders, accomplished by these Hollywood whackers, according to the couple. They went on to say that these people can get in to your phones, accounts, and your corner drugstore where you purchase your prescriptions, giving you tainted drugs that could dope you or even kill.
Evi went on to say that she felt this is what had occurred with Gibson. Someone had slipped him a “mickey”, referring to the drugs to mentally set him up for failure.
Both believed this was all being done because of the “competition”. The couple alleged it is simply a smear campaign to gain monies through their deaths and from people being drug through the mud. Claims that Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan should be careful were also made.
Randy states his former accountant, Warren Grant, had taken a loan out in Quaids name that he was unaware of until thirteen years later. He is also spending some nights without hotel accommodations or food because of the lack of trust in his account at this time. The couple claim these silent criminals are also removing funds from this same account.
When asked about Dennis Quaid, Randy’s brother, Randy states the two are close, but the relationship has been a little more strained over the past couple of years. Randy has tried warning Dennis about these whackers and people after him, but Dennis refuses to listen. At one point, the couple giggled about Dennis stating Randy needed psychological help.
Randy and Evi states that Dennis is a recovering alcoholic and cocaine user, lending a hand in the fact he is not listening to them.
The Quaids met 20 years ago on the set of “Bloodhounds on Broadway”, starring Madonna and Randy Quaid. Evi happened to be the production assistant. Randy asked her to marry him on the first night they met, claiming she reminded him of a combination of his childhood female friends.
When asked questions by the ABC interviewer, Randy seemed frustrated with Evi who spoke over him on most of the interview, even interrupting her a couple of times, asking her to be quiet so he could speak. Evi seemed to want to explain these conspiracy theories more than Randy. Evi spoke of Randy being in the business for 45 years and there were no better actors or people involved in the industry than he.
