Some many say that this is a little too harsh and to them I say, what else would you call it. First he was targeted because the effect that he was supposed to have on the election of Barack Obama did not turn out as planned. The next things were the anger of the right over his book tour and he not following the rules that they had given him. Finally he was flown off to areas where there were very little if any television cameras and media. They hid him in a closet so that he would not damage the Republicans chance to take back control of Washington. Now he is allowed to return only to take second chair to Sarah Palin at Republican fundraisers. They exiled him thinking that he would be their downfall in the upcoming midterms only to find that their downfall may have just came from a fringe group born of the Republican Party. I speak of the fringe group called the Tea Party. They have put forth several candidates which may cause more damage than Michael Steele ever could. That may be the reason for his parole board voting to allow him back into the fold.
Will we ever know for sure if what I have said could possibly be true? Maybe a few years after Steele is gone as head of the Republican Party and replaced by Sarah Palin. He will probably write a “tell-all” book and make millions of dollars, telling about the inside game of his party. His name will stay a bad taste in the mouths of those who never wanted to see him attain that title in the first place, but soon after the release of his book, he will become that party’s public enemy number one. Make no mistake about it people, Michael Steele was placed on the shelf. Michael Steel was treated like an unruly child with a house full of guests. This man adopted as an infant, saw his father die and was raised by a single mother before she later remarried, worked his butt off to earn his education and served as a Lt. Governor of the State of Maryland. All this and he is shown no more respect than to be cast aside by a political party. This same party only allowing his return so that he can play second fiddle to Sarah Palin. What’s next, having him hold the microphone for John Boehner or Mitch McConnell? Just a thought!
