Article writers deluge us with their opinions and thoughts on almost every subject under the sun. But few go to the trouble of doing in-depth research to build a convincing argument. Strong content draws search engine traffic which equates to more money.
Research is a subject we all find dis-tasteful because it takes time. But the upside of research is it makes your content more believable and your page views increase. So you get paid more in the long run. This is something we all who write for pay can use more of on a monthly basis – money.
Writing an article with strong content for Associated Content or any other content warehouse means using a different approach or angle to get people to read your content in mass. This only comes with in-depth research. Why? You become an expert on a subject when you throw yourself wholly into the subject. You see what is missing or has never evolved through honest discussion and thought in the public arena.
Usually, if you study a subject, a lot of articles come to mind. Writing articles on this subject helps you become the one everyone turns to when wanting to know about a particular aspect of a subject.
A great way to learn about a field is to turn to that fields professional association. You will find lots of information on any field by studying their association newsletters and white papers not to mention any articles written in their trade magazine.
Its easy to find every fields trade association. You can Google it or if you are so inclined go to a public library in the reference section and find the Encyclopedia of Associations published by Gale. Every association in the United States is listed in this book.
Associations can answer questions about a particular problem. If you want to know about certified public accounting for instance there is an association called NASBA-National Association of State Board of Accountancy which can help answer question you may have about public accounting.
They also are a great source for statistics on a particular industry. Again using NASBA you can call and find out how many CPA’s there are in Georgia and how many belong to NASBA.
Remember to check out the associations next time you want to write a series of articles about a particular field or subject. It will help you become more believable and credible in the eyes of your fellow writers.
