Tuesday was the results show for Week 4 of Season 11 on Dancing with the Stars. The theme was “acoustic week” and the night went pretty much as one would suspect, based on Monday night’s scores. Let’s see how the evening went down.
To get the night started, three couples were informed that they were safe. As expected, the celebrities that will be around for another week were Brandy, Audrina Patridge, and Jennifer Grey. In fact, the judges and the fans were so enamored with Jennifer’s performance on Monday night that the show had her and partner Derek Hough do their argentine tango again Tuesday night!
The Goo Goo Dolls were on hand to bring some outside entertainment to the crowd. They performed a medley of two songs: the old favorite “Iris” and a new single “Not Broken”. Later in the evening, Florence and the Machine performed their song “Dog Days are Over” for the first time on U.S. television.
Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas were in the bottom three. Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya were also in the bottom three. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Karina Smirnoff rounded out the bottom. The Situation had a hard time with the scores that he received Monday night. He even stormed out of the confessional room after the performance, leaving Karina to just shrug her shoulders at the camera.
The drama continued as one of the three couples at the bottom was deemed safe. Kurt and Anna received enough votes to dance another round next week. Alaska’s former first daughter also became safe when it was announced that “The Situation” and Karina were at the end of the road. Mr. Sorrentino has danced his last dance.
Stay tuned for next Monday when it’s “TV theme” week.
