Sex, drugs, and world peace? In the past, beauty queens were thought of as squeaky clean well-behaved humanitarian ladies whose life dream was to become a goodwill ambassador for world peace. Well times have changed and nowadays it seems that a lot of beauty queens are becoming famous for their bad girl behavior involving drug use, alcoholism, nude photos and porn. Here are the top 10 bad beauty queens who have been dethroned.

After she was asked to quit (got fired) for the erotic photos, which were taken years before the pageant, Williams has become a superstar by releasing successful albums and has starred in movies and TV shows. Currently, she is starring in the hit TV show “Ugly Betty” and has no regrets about her days as a dethroned beauty queen.
Bad Beauty Queen # 2: Tara Conner
Cocaine use, partying, and underage drinking got Tara Conner Miss USA 2006 in big trouble with Donald Trump and the Miss Universe Organization. After several missed appearances, pageant officials were suspicious of Conner’s cancellations. Then in December 2006, TMZ.com reported that Conner who was 20-years-old at the time would be dethroned due to her all night partying in New York night clubs, drug abuse, and under-age drinking. Just days before Christmas, Donald Trump held a live press conference in New York announcing that he would give Conner a second chance only if she would enter rehabilitation. After Conner completed her stint in rehab she competed in the 2006 Miss Universe pageant and finished in 5th place. Currently, Conner has continued to work for the Miss Universe Organization as she was a judge in the 2010 Miss USA pageant. She has also hosted the MTV show The Girls of Hedsor Hall where she helped try to reform bad girls who were addicted to partying, drugs, and alcohol.

Just days after the Tara Conner Miss USA scandal broke out in December 2006, Katie Rees, Miss Nevada USA 2006, was not so lucky when raunchy pictures of her appeared on the internet exposing her feminine parts, kissing her girlfriends, sucking the nipples of other women, and simulating cunnilingus and fellatio at a Florida nightclub three years prior to her pageant win. Pageant officials and Donald Trump were not so compassionate and Rees was dethroned. After Rees’ public apology she was charged in February 2008 in Las Vegas for speeding, driving with a suspended license, resisting arrest from a police officer and suspended license plates. Ever since her arrest, Rees has appeared on Dr. Phil and Border Security, coincidentally, her appearances were focused on her drug abuse and wild partying.

Before I competed in the 2003 Miss Universe Canada pageant, I and the other contestants had the great opportunity to meet Miss Universe 2002 Oxana Fedorova at the Windsor Arms Hotel in Toronto while she embarked on her Canadian tour. Unfortunately, right after the Canadian tour ended she was fired from Donald Trump and was replaced by the 1st runner up Justine Pasek. I guess we were all shocked because she was quite nice to us and we were warned by our pageant trainers that if we weren’t serious about the pageant, then we should get out. Donald Trump stated that he had fired Fedorova because she was lazy and failed to perform the numerous duties expected of a Miss Universe titleholder. Currently, Fedorova is now a household name in her native country Russia and continues to work in the entertainment industry as a model, actress, TV host, and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

She claimed her innocence stating that she was kidnapped by her drug-lord boyfriend Ángel Orlando García Urquiza and was not aware of his criminal activities. But Miss Mexico pageant officials stripped her of the title and she was released from a detention center on January 30, 2009 after the judge found no evidence that tied her to any criminal activity.

Fakih is the first Arab-American to be crowned Miss USA 2010, but following the pageant, Fakih made headlines after a website featured a 2007 “Stripper 101” pole dancing contest sponsored by Detroit radio station WKQI and won by Fakih. The Miss Universe Organization did not strip Fakih of the title, but at this year’s Miss Universe pageant held in Las Vegas, Fakih failed to place in the top 15. Usually, Miss USA makes the top 15 selection, but with the controversy surrounding Fakih’s stripper-pole pictures, she was blocked out of the competition.
