It has a 200-horsepower turbo engine that gets 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. It was also rated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and received a “Top Safety Pick” award. Small Cars- VW Golf TDI
The 2010 Golf comes in a two door or a four door, and is a five passenger family car. It comes with a 140- horsepower diesel engine, and gets 30 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. It received four out of five stars for driver and passenger safety in front crash tests, and five out of five stars for front and rear-seat safety in side crashes. It also got a four star rollover rating. The car starts at $17,696.
Pickup Trucks- Toyota Tundra SR5 4.7
The 2010 Toyota Tundra earned a five star rating in front crash tests by the government. It also earned a three star rating in side. It comes with a V8 engine, and gets 14 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. The Toyota Tundra starts at $29,245.

The 2010 Lexus RX300 is a four door, five passenger SUV. It gets around 18 mpg in the city, and 24 mpg on the highway. It starts at $37,625 and is ranked as the #1 SUV for safety by Consumer Reports. The government gives it five stars for front and side crash tests. It also gets a four star rollover rating.
Minivans- Honda Odyssey EX
This four door, eight passenger minivan gets 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. It gets five stars for both front and side crash test ratings by the federal government. It also gets a good safety rating by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, which is the best rating that you can get. This minivan starts at $26,805.
