The Wall That Heals is traveling to Grapevine Texas and will be available for viewing on Veterans Day. From November 11-13, the wall can be viewed at the Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine Texas. The wall is available for viewing from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday. There will be a satellite feed from the permanent wall in Washington D.C. at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
According to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund website, “‘Bringing The Wall Home’ to communities throughout our country allows the souls enshrined on the Memorial to exist, once more, among family and friends in the peace and comfort of familiar surroundings.” The Wall That Heals also has a traveling museum and information center.
To find out more about The Wall That Heals visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund website at http://www.vvmf.org/. The website has a schedule for the replica of The Wall That Heals. It may be coming to a city near you. Visiting the wall is a great way to honor veterans.
I am honored that I had a chance to serve in the United States Air Force. As we celebrate veterans on Veterans Day, may we be thankful every day for those who have served. May we never again treat our veterans with contempt. Thank you veterans!
