Thefts and robberies aren’t common problems in the city of Birmingham. During the last week of September, though, a handful of them occurred. On September 30, a real estate agent discovered evidence of a break-in in the 1000 block of Suffield. Pieces of a built-in entertainment center, a chandelier and copper piping were all removed from the residence.
On the 600 block of Brown Street, the passenger side window of a locked Chrysler vehicle was smashed in; a dashboard Sirius radio was pulled out of the car. The incident took place sometime during the night between September 25 and September 26.
