Thousands of people are gathering in Denver, Colorado this weekend to participate in the Race for the Cure annual race. Just so happens this year Denver is hosting the event at the Pepsi Center and a turnout of over 60,000 are said to attend the Race for the Cure. This annual event is held to raise awareness about breast cancer.
This is the 18th annual Race for the Cure and there will be three different events taking place. There will be a 5k co-ed run/walk that begins at 7 a.m., another one at 8 a.m. and a family fun 1 mile walk at 9 a.m.
In conclusion will be a closing ceremony at the Race for the Cure event in Denver, Colorado that will feature the founder Susan G. Komen and she will give a speech.
