Do you realize that you may becoming dehydrated and not even know it? Do you realize that dehydration is a serious condition?
Yes, we all live busy lives. Yet, we need to do the basic things needed to take care of ourselves. On top of that list is to drink water and to eat right. If you don’t do the first needed thing, drink water you can become deathly ill. You may even die.
Dr. Oz, recently did a segment on the three early signs that you may be dehydrated. Here is a sampling of what was said:
Dehydration sign # 1: Dryness of the skin
Your body is made up of 60% water. When it becomes dehydrated the first thing that happens is that your skin will become dry. Your skin around your mouth will feel dry. The skin around your eyes will feel sunken inwards and dry. Your lips will feel dry and chapped.
Dehydration sign #2: Dizziness
Not having anything fluid or volume in your body affects your cardiovascular system. This in turn affects your brain and can cause dizziness.
Dehydration sign #3: Constipation
If you don’t have enough water in your body, your body will pull it from every area of your body as it can to function, including your stools thus you will begin to have problems with constipation. Your bowels need water to pass stools effectively.
What is the simple solution to preventing and treating dehydration?
Drinking water as you should. The recommended amount of water we all should be drinking per day is 6 to 8, glasses per day.
If we drink this recommended amount of water, our bodies will function better, we will have more energy to do the things we need and want to do and we can even lose weight much more easily. Plus, we will never have to fear the danger of being dehydrated nor worry about having to go to the ER to be treated for a much more severe condition that can occur if our body is dehydrated for a long period of time.
