The Village Voice pointed out a casting call notice posted in Park Slope. The notice was stated they were “seeking 9-13 year-old Caucasian boys for the upcoming film ‘Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.’
The movie is an adaptation of the Jonathan Safron Foer’s novel about a nine-year-old boy’s life in the wake of September 11. According to IMDB, the movie stars Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock. The screenplay is being adapted by Eric Roth who penned the adaptation of ‘Forrest Gump.’ The director of the film is Stephen Daldry who did both ‘The Reader’ and ‘The Hours.’
