If you haven’t heard the latest craze these days, I guess it’s time to fill you in. It’s scrapbooking. Scrapbooking can be as complex or as simple as you want to make it which means that almost anyone can do it. Even if you don’t really have any creative or artistic skills at all you can make a scrapbook.
Once you’ve got all the images and pictures that you want featured in your scrapbook, you’ll need some tools to make the project come to life and be correctly themed to your specifications. One of the joys of scrapbooking is the design phase where you’re getting everything in line to build the scrapbook. After you have determined all this information you’ll need to get your tools together. The following is what you’ll need.
A paper trimmer and scissors is a must for any project. It’s important to get a good pair of scissors because you’ll likely be using them a lot and it’s best to find a pair that is comfortable so you don’t get discouraged. You’ll need the paper trimmer to for trimming photos and other decorations. One more cutting utensil that you’ll need is a hobby knife. There are going to be times when you need a knife and scissors just won’t cut it (no pun intended). Having a good sharp hobby knife is essential but be careful you can easily cut yourself before you know it.
A few other items you’ll need is a ruler and some glue. You’ll of course need the glue or adhesive to paste in different items on each page. There are loads of different kinds of glue. The type you use really depends on your preference and the job you want the adhesive to perform. And the ruler can have all sorts of uses from scoring items to just giving you a straight edge. It’s a must have for any scrapbooker.
Scrapbooking allows your inner creativity to come out and gives your projects an added personal touch that can mean the world to someone. Of course, they mean a lot to the person that created the scrapbook also.
