Many of us are done or about done with our holiday shopping. After all, Black Friday was an astounding success with higher, preliminary sales’ totals than ever before. However, if you are a waiter and prefer to spread your shopping out across the holiday season, this guide is here to help. Parents, your college student is predictable. They need certain items to survive but they want others to make surviving a lot more fun. Here are the top 5 gifts for your college students.
5. Planon Docupen R700 Pen Scanner
This handy little gift is used to help students take proper notes in class. The pen is actually a scanner that copies notes, directly from the book itself. The item is battery operated and comes with its own carrying lanyard. The scanning process takes about 4 to 10 seconds, and can store up to 100 pages of text on its internal memory. The pen comes with connector software for the Windows XP or higher computer and it is recommended that you backup your data frequently. The pen scanner uses both regular and rechargeable batteries. Best of all, this gadget can be bought for around $79 dollars.
4. Apple I pad, IPod or I phones
Apple is making some of the best products these days. You can pretty much buy anything Apple and rest assured that your son or daughter will be happy. Specifically though, I pad are completely in style now. They are mini laptops that are fully touch- screen capable and fully portable. They range in cost from about $499 to $650, depending on the memory that you buy with the computer. Likewise, IPods, and I Phones range in cost and make the lives of college students very entertaining and easy, especially for organization purposes.
3. Gaming, computer chairs
This may seem like a corny gift, but just imagine your son or daughter with their Apple product or Pc- I’m not judging- wanting to lounge around but the dorm furniture is hard and unbearable. They will want a nice gaming/ computer chair. The gaming chairs are high- tech now. Many of them come with built in chargers, surround sound and Bluetooth connections to multiple game systems and computers. Your son or daughter will love that chair. The chairs range in price from about $50 to as much as $250 dollars so shop wisely. I recommend that you buy the middle of road chair with built- in surround sound speakers and Bluetooth capabilities. You may want to check out the bean- bag inspired chair from JCPenny which retails for $129.
2. Amazon.com Gift cards
These days, much of what we buy is bought online. Therefore, give your kids the card that will keep on giving. The Amazon.com gift card can be used to purchase books for school- usually at much cheaper prices than Campus bookstores-, clothing, electronics, jewelry, hair products and more. Pretty much, anything that a person could want for their room, self or general life can be purchased on Amazon.com. Choose a nice round amount like $50 to $100. This at least gives your college student some options. Keep in mind, $100 could be gone with the purchase of one textbook.
I do not know of any college student- including myself- that is not broke and hurting for cash. Thus, you may want to send your son or daughter a Chase gift card with as much as $1000. You son or daughter can use the money for food, clothing, or anything else they want because Chase gift cards are accepted everywhere that Visa credit cards are accepted. This cash gift is also very easy for you as Chase account holders can receive these cards for a little at $4.00. Make your child’s day. Cash goes a long way!
