Never fear, the 2010 Christmas parent saver is here. Ok, I totally made that up, and no doubt you’ve probably already heard from your teen exactly what (with complete details) list of things they want for Christmas, but just in case you haven’t seen your teen in awhile, or if you’ve been hiding under a rock, here are the hottest Christmas gifts of 2010 just for teens.
1. Apple’s iPad:
A revolution in itself, and most definitely will be the hottest gift of the season, whether for your teen, your hubby (or yourself), the iPad will top everyone’s Christmas list in 2010. Best price I’ve found for this hot ticket item is, of course, at Walmart for $499. Also, see this cool blog I found that lists the hottest top 10 iPad accessories here .
2. . Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect :
I would have put this at #1, but with the popularity of iPad running the show (to be fair, it did have a headstart in the game as it came out earlier than the Kinect this year) this just skims the top coming in at #2. And we all know how teens adore video games, so with 2010 marking a new concept for gaming. The Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect is the coolest thing since video games were invented. Kinect lets players chuck the remotes and use only themselves as the controllers. That’s right, no more losing the game remotes and controllers, it’s all in the camera eye that “sees” the players and senses their movements. Very cool. 3 . Hoodie with built in headphones:
You already know how teens love their music and their hoodies, and how they’re always losing their ear-bud headphones for their mp3 players, ipods and such (it seems like they would lose their heads if they weren’t attached). Well I’ve got great news, these brand new hoodies solve that issue by having a headphone jack in the pocket and earbud/headphones sewn into the end of the drawstrings. And don’t worry Mom, it says on the product page that the hoodies are machine washable, just don’t put them in the dryer. At least this solves one problem, and hopefully they won’t lose that. You can find these all over the net this year; here and also Available from Amazon.com .
4. Just Dance 2 for Wii or Karaoke Revolution Glee for Wii:
As stated above, teens love video games and Wii has come out with some fantastic new games that are flying off the shelves everywhere. They’ve added lots of hip music and new dance moves to learn, on Just Dance 2, (and they’ll be getting exercise while having fun), and with Glee’s Karaoke game they can do more than just sing along with New Directions. With Glee Karaoke Revolution for Wii, they can watch clips and performances from the show while being scored on their vocal performances. Both run around $60, at GameStop , Best Buy .. Note; Moms and Dads will love these too. You can find Just Dance 2 for Wii on Amazon as well as all over stores and the Internet. Glee’s Karaoke’s best prices so far at: GameStop , and Best Buy .
5. Gift Certificate to their favorite store OR a Ticket Stub Diary
I had to throw in the evergreen “gift certificate” as teens love picking out their own gifts, and it makes it pretty simple for the giver too. But just for fun I added the Ticket Stub Diary as every teen I know loves going to concerts, and this is a great gift for all teens to remember every concert they’ve ever attended from the first chord to the final encore with this cool ticket stub diary, and it’s only about $10, available all over the Internet, Ticket Stub Diary at Amazon, and uncommongoods.com .
