Here is a list of the top five biggest fantasy football quarterback busts during the 2010 football season. The list includes three possible Hall of Fame quarterbacks Tony Romo, Donovan McNabb, and Brett Favre. It also includes two up and coming quarterbacks in Kevin Kolb and Matthew Stafford. Favre, Stafford, and McNabb still have a chance to add some fantasy points however for most fantasy football owners it will be too little too late.
1) Kevin Kolb
Kevin Kolb was to be Donovan McNabb’s replacement in Philadelphia . He was supposedly the ninth best quarterback. The Eagles quarterback lost his starting job to Michael Vick and has only accounted for 38 fantasy points this season.
2) Brett Favre
Perhaps a worse bust than Kevin Kolb is the Vikings Brett Favre. Brett has not lost his starting job with Minnesota . However, his fantasy total indicates fantasy owners should have cut him loose long ago. Favre has earned 46 fantasy points for the season.
3) Matthew Stafford
Stafford has suffered injuries and he does play for the Detroit Lions. Fantasy owners were expecting more from the Lions quarterback as he was projected as the thirteenth best quarterback in the league. Stafford has only accounted for 47 fantasy points this season.
4) Tony Romo
An injury cut Tony Romo’s season short. Bad play has cut the Dallas Cowboy’s season short. The Cowboy’s quarterback has only accounted for 75 fantasy points this season. Not the production a fantasy owner wants out of the fourth ranked quarterback in the league.
5) Donovan McNabb
Kevin Kolb shouldn’t feel too bad the man you replaced in Philadelphia also makes the list. Yes, the Washington Redskins have won more games with McNabb as the quarterback. However, that should not be that hard to do when Washington only won four games in 2009. The fifteenth ranked fantasy quarterback should have produced more than 72 fantasy points. Fantasy owners who owned McNabb surely can’t be pleased with those numbers.
