The top five all time NBA dunkers list is compiled of two superstars. The list also includes two active players and one player who had a brief three year career. The two all time greats on the list are Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins. The two active players are Nate Robinson and Jason Richardson. Harold Minor is the player who had the brief career in the NBA.
1) Nate Robinson
Nate Robinson a 5’9″ 180 lbs. guard who currently plays for the Boston Celtics and who had previously played for the New York Knicks tops the list of top dunkers. Nate has won three Slam-Dunk contests including the last two. In 2007 Nate lost in the finals. Robinson is a young player only coming into the league in 2005.
2) Dominique Wilkins
Dominique Wilkins was a 6’7″ 200 lbs. forward/guard for the Atlanta Hawks. The nine time all star averaged 24.8 points per game for his career. In the slam dunk contest he had famous match ups against Michael Jordan. In 1984 he finished third, he won it in 1985, and finished second in 1986, Dominique finished second in 1988and won his second slam dunk contest in 1990.
3) Michael Jordan
Michael Jordan the 6’6″ 195 lbs. guard/forward for the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards is one of the best players to ever play in the NBA. A 14 time all star, a five time MVP, a six time NBA Finals MVP, the leagues leading scorer by average per game, third on the all time list in points scored, second on the all time steals list, and third on the all time steals per game list. MJ finished second to Dominique in 1985 and won his first slam dunk contest in 1987. He won his second in 1988 beating Wilkins.
4) Jason Richardson
Jason Richardson is a 6’6″ guard for the Phoenix Suns who has averaged 18.3 points per game. Jason won the Slam Dunk contest back to back in 2002 and 2003. In 2004 Jason lost in the finals of the Slam Dunk contest.
5) Harold Minor
Harold Minor was a 6’5″ 210 lbs. guard who had a brief three year NBA career playing for the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers. However, Harold won the Slam Dunk contest twice. He won it in 1993 and in 1995.
