The first five acts have made it into the finals on NBC’s America’s Got Talent. The singing acts weigh heavily with four of the five spots going to singers. Only Anna and Patrick the young Ballroom Dancers vary from the pack. With the remaining five acts to be chosen next week the competition is heating up.
Who are the five finalist chosen so far and do they have a chance at the $1, 000, 000 prize? The America’s Got Talent National Tour begins on October 1, and all top ten acts will be performing across the country. Here are the first five acts in the finals.
Anna and Patryk are the young ballroom dancers that were returned to the competition by Judge Piers Morgan as his wildcard pick. No they are not siblings. Patryk’s family moved to New York from Poland when he was seven years old. Ann and Patryk are no strangers to competing in dance competitions having won the National Championships three consecutive years and representing the United States two times in the World Ballroom Dance Championships.
Christina and Ali are siblings with beautiful voices and… Cystic Fibrosis. Far from the strongest singers in the group, that they have made it so far in the competition is a tribute to their tenacity. The young pair hails from Idaho Falls, Idaho were they began signing together at the funeral of their older sister. America is taken with their story and through the tears has voted these two young sisters into the finals.
Taylor Mathews is another young singer from Alexandria, Louisiana, who started his singing career at age thirteen. Taylor’s dad was a singer musician who gave up his dream to get married and raise a family. Now it is Taylor’s turn and he is pursuing his dream with a passion. He has shyness and presence that makes all the tweens and teens want to see more.
Michael Grimm is one of the strongest singers on the show. Michael originally comes from a small town in Mississippi where he began singing in clubs and bars at twelve years old. Recently he relocated to Las Vegas playing in clubs and hoping for his big break. Grimm sings Southern soul and has a voice when once heard soon will not be forgotten. Look for Michael to come down to the wire.
Prince Poppycock, John Quale is a show stopper. His very first performance on AGT had both the internet and Main Street in a twitter. Who could have imagined such a beautiful strong operetta voice coming out of a man wearing white face, a powdered wig and tights? Poppycock is a true artist, a great talent, a quick wit, and a force to be reckoned
with in the competition.
