This movie stars Liam Neeson (The A-Team, Clash of the Titans) as a man who wakes up from a coma while in a foreign city. After searching for his wife, whom he was with before falling into a coma, he begins to realize that something strange is going on; his wife doesn’t recognize him and some other man now carries his identity. He ends up finding a woman who may be able to help prove who he really is.
Country Strong – January 7, 2011
Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw bring together this drama about a former singer (Paltrow) who joins forces with a rising country-music singer to help bring on success for the both of them. However, out of this union, a deeper relationship starts to form, causing a love-triangle of sorts between the two of them and the former singer’s husband (McGraw).
Season of the Witch – January 7, 2011
From the same directer who brought Gone in 60 Seconds and Swordfish, now comes a supernatural thriller starring Nicolas Cage. He is ordered to transport a woman accused of being a witch and bringing on the Plague to a monastery. Once there, the monks will attempt to destroy her powers. The trailer for the dark movie (accompanied by a Marylin Mason song, if that tells you anything), shows a few scary images and hints that this movie should be quite the thriller.
The Dilemma – January 14, 2011
When Ronny (Vince Vaughn) catches his best friend’s (played by Kevin James) wife out with another man, he has to decide whether or not he will tell his friend. In the course of his investigation, Ronny discovers the his friend is hiding some of his own secrets.
The Green Hornet – January 14, 2011
Seth Rogan stars in this superhero comedy as a spoiled son of a rich and powerful man who suddenly dies. Britt (Rogan) decides to end his party lifestyle to do something meaningful. He pairs up with Kato (Jay Chou) and together they begin “protecting the law by breaking it”. Britt takes the name Green Hornet, and he and Kato team up with the new secretary, played by Cameron Diaz.
The Way Back – January 21, 2011
This movie is based off the memoir The Long Walk: The True Story of a Trek to Freedom by Slavomir Rawicz. It is set in 1940 and is about a small group of convicts that escape from a Siberian gulag and their journey afterward. The escapees have to travel across five countries and fight for their lives. The movie stars Jim Sturgess, Ed Harris, and Colin Farrell,
Restless – January 28, 2011
This tearjerker of a movie stars Mia Wasikowska (Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland) as a terminally-ill girl who falls in love with a strange boy. This strange boy likes to attend funerals and has a ghost friend. This movie is directed by the same person who brought Good Will Hunting.
